Our Winter 2026 ILP courses are designed to support youth as they build confidence, life skills, and healthy relationships. Financial Literacy helps young people learn how to manage money, budget wisely, and plan for their future. Anger Management & Conflict Resolution gives students tools to handle emotions, communicate effectively, and resolve challenges in positive ways. Love Notes focuses on self-esteem, healthy relationships, and expressing emotions with respect and care. Together, these courses create a supportive space where youth can learn, grow, and prepare for real-life success.

My name is Ceseña Espinosa, I have worked with Hope Now for the past several months. I found Hope now through my high school when I was in desperate need of a job. Working at this business was such an incredible experience to see all the ways one simple thing can help the community.

I’m incredibly pleased to share my experience at Hope Now Community Resource Center and the staff who encouraged me to carry on with my education and moving forward with college. Every single member of hope now especially the CEO has supported my decisions in my education and encouraged me to prioritize it. Even offering useful resources to help me get through classes.

I am now taking on my second term of classes at PCC, excited to see what challenges those classes have in store for me. Their support helped me recognize the value of lifelong learning and motivated me to purse further academic goals with confidence.

I am grateful for the positive influence they had on both my professional and educational journey.

I highly recommend Hope Now to anyone seeking an organization that values growth, learning, and meaningful support. An organization that feels more like one big family filled with support and helpful resources.

Ever since I began volunteering at Hope Now Community Resource center in January, I’ve been able to be a part of a wonderful, passionate group of people who understand the needs of the Altadena community and advocates for underserved seniors, youth, and families. After becoming an official youth worker at the center, I’ve gotten the opportunity to help develop programs and coordinate events with staff. Hope Now is a place in which everyone’s voice is important and our individual perspectives are valued at all times.

Though I am only a high school student, the staff has put their trust in me and it has helped me express my ideas without fear while teaching me how to be reliable in a collective work environment. Through working at Hope Now, I’ve seen how our programs and services have a positive impact on the community.

The center has consistently remained a safe third space for seniors, with weekly game days and community-building events being an important part of our schedule. Over time, I’ve noticed seniors grow closer to each other as well as witness the development of intergenerational relationships during our Youth Summer Program. Hope Now is a place where every need of the community is addressed, and every voice of our staff is equally heard and appreciated.

a little kindness goes a long way!
